With the rather unusual formation of flute, violin and piano, Novecento a tre embarks on a sonic journey through twentieth-century Europe, surprising with the brilliant blend in which lightness and depth merge. Violin and flute, while remaining two soprano instruments, dialogue in every direction with infinite timbral richness and versatility, which the piano completes and enhances. The program, built in a concentric manner, begins and ends in the Italy of Ferruccio Busoni and Nino Rota, making a stop in the France of Poulenc and Ravel, with an excursion into the Russia of Arthur Lourié, in a kaleidoscopic alternation of formations.
