Privacy and Cookie Policy
Last updated: 20/08/2026
Privacy policy and cookie policy for this website. The site is a professional portfolio: it sells nothing, has no visitor sign-up and no members’ area, no contact form and no newsletter. The only data processed is what your browser sends while you are visiting: the choice you make about cookies and, only if you consent to statistical cookies, the data collected by Google Analytics.
Privacy Policy
1. Data controller
Andrea Oliva
Email: oliva.flute@gmail.com
VAT: 08513431000
2. Data collected
This website does not collect personal data through contact forms, user registrations or newsletters, and there is no account for visitors to sign in to. If you consent to statistical cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects technical browsing data:
- Browser type and operating system
- Pages visited and visit duration
- Approximate geographic location (city or region)
- Traffic source (e.g. search engine, direct access)
Your IP address is sent to Google in order to deliver the service and to derive that approximate location, but Analytics 4 neither logs nor stores it. The owner reads this data only as aggregate reports, never as individual profiles. If you do not consent, the Analytics script is never executed and none of this data is collected.
3. Purpose of processing
Browsing data, where collected, is processed exclusively for statistical purposes, to understand how users interact with the website and improve its content. It is not used for individual profiling or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
4. Legal basis
Analytics data is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time from the cookie preferences panel. The technical cookie that records your choice is processed on the basis of the obligation to comply with cookie rules and to demonstrate consent (Arts. 6(1)(c) and 7(1) GDPR).
5. Third-party services
The banner used to collect your choice is an open source component (vanilla-cookieconsent, MIT licence) hosted and served by this same domain. Typefaces and the JavaScript libraries used by the site are also served locally. No external provider is contacted in order to display a page, with a single exception: on the pages that feature videos, the preview images are loaded from Google’s servers, as described below.
Only two services may therefore come into play:
- Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-KKJZQ2W6TN), provided by Google Ireland Ltd, loaded only after your consent and with advertising features — Google signals, ad personalisation and advertising storage — permanently switched off.
-
YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd), for the videos featured on some pages.
The preview images are loaded from Google’s servers as soon as such a page opens, without
setting cookies; the player itself opens only when you click a video and uses
YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (
youtube-nocookie.com), which according to Google stores no information about visitors unless they play the video. In both cases Google receives your IP address, as it necessarily does for any content delivered from its servers.
6. Data retention
Analytics data is retained for the period configured in the Analytics property; for standard properties the maximum allowed is 14 months. Your cookie preference is stored for 6 months, after which the banner is shown again.
7. Data transfers outside the EU
Google Analytics may transfer data to the United States. Google LLC adheres to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, on the basis of which the European Commission has recognised an adequate level of protection (adequacy decision of 10 July 2023).
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR (Arts. 15–22), you have the right to:
- Access your personal data (Art. 15)
- Request rectification (Art. 16) or erasure (Art. 17)
- Restrict processing (Art. 18)
- Object to processing (Art. 21)
- Withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7)
- Lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority — in Italy: www.garanteprivacy.it
Please note that statistical data is collected in a form that does not identify you: the owner holds nothing that would allow it to be traced back to you, so in practice the rights of access, rectification and erasure (Arts. 15–17) cannot be exercised over it. Your right to withdraw consent is unaffected and takes effect immediately.

9. What this website does not do
For the sake of clarity: the site does not carry out profiling, does not use advertising or remarketing cookies, does not send commercial communications or newsletters, does not sell or transfer your data to third parties for their own purposes, and does not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you (Art. 22 GDPR).
10. Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated to reflect changes to the site or to the applicable rules. The date shown at the top always indicates the version in force.
Cookie Policy
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites save on the device you are using through your browser. They make the site work, remember the choices you have made and, in some cases, collect statistical information about how the site is used.
Besides cookies there are similar storage technologies, such as the browser’s local storage. This website uses no local storage, no session storage and no other form of local data storage: the only information saved on your device consists of the cookies listed below.
1. Strictly necessary technical cookies
These serve only to remember the choice you made about cookies, so that the banner is not shown again on every page and the consent collected can be demonstrated. They are installed even if you decline the other cookies, because without them the site could not honour your decision, and for this reason they do not require your prior consent (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code). The banner is an open source component served by this same domain: the cookie below is first-party and is not sent to anyone.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
cc_cookie |
Stores which cookie categories you have accepted or declined, the date of your choice and a random identifier that makes the consent given demonstrable | 6 months |
This cookie contains no data that identifies you personally and is never transmitted to third parties.
The site’s administration area, reserved for the owner, also uses a technical session cookie
(PHPSESSID), which plays no part in ordinary browsing.
2. Statistical cookies
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (G-KKJZQ2W6TN) to understand, in aggregate form, how many people visit it. These cookies are installed only after you have given your consent: until then the script remains blocked. They are technically first-party but are set and read by Google’s script. If you later withdraw your consent, the cookies already installed are deleted from your device.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes one visitor from another for unique user counting | 2 years |
_ga_KKJZQ2W6TN | Persists session state for this specific Analytics property | 2 years |
3. Third-party content — videos
Some pages feature videos hosted on YouTube. The preview image is loaded from
Google’s servers as soon as the page opens, without setting cookies; the player itself opens only
when you click it, in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which
according to Google stores no information about visitors unless they play the video. Any technical
cookies Google sets on its own domains at that point are outside the control of the owner of this
website. If you would rather not connect to Google’s servers at all, avoid the pages that
contain videos.
Note on durations
The durations shown are those set when the cookie is issued. Modern browsers may shorten them on their own: Chrome caps cookie lifetime at 400 days, while Safari deletes cookies created via JavaScript after about 7 days if you do not return to the site.
How to change your choice
On your first visit a banner appears, from which you can accept the statistical cookies, decline and keep only the necessary ones, or open the detailed panel. Until you make a choice, no statistical cookie is installed.
You can change your mind at any time: the Cookies link in the footer of every page reopens the preferences panel, or use this link — Manage cookie preferences. Switching statistics off deletes the Analytics cookies already installed.
Managing cookies from your browser
You can set your browser to block all or some cookies, or to delete those already stored. Blocking all cookies does not prevent you from browsing this website.
- Chrome — support.google.com
- Safari — support.apple.com
- Firefox — support.mozilla.org
- Edge — support.microsoft.com
In addition, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available for all major browsers.
