PiCello Bros — the duo formed by brothers Francesco Pepicelli on cello and Angelo Pepicelli on piano — meets flautist Andrea Oliva in a project of great inventiveness. Born from a recording for Amadeus magazine in 2004, the collaboration has evolved over the years into a rare friendship and deep mutual esteem. The Italian Premiere program presents four works: the fairy-tale Ma mère l'Oye by Ravel in the transcription by Oliva and the Pepicelli brothers, the quintessentially French Trio by Françaix, Shostakovich's Jazz Suite, and Kapustin's surprising Trio op. 86 — never performed in Italy until now, despite its striking beauty.
